We understand the importance of making informed decisions about sending your child to school. To assist you, we have developed the guideline below. The more information we have about your child's health, the better prepared we are to help.
Parent is sick / stressed

Cold Symptoms / Seasonal Allergies
Yes - Go to School
If your child is able to participate in activities, send them to school (as long as they have no fever or vomiting).

Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
No - Stay Home
If eye is matted or draining significantly, see a healthcare provider. Child can attend if pink eye is related to seasonal allergies.

Menstrual Cycle Issues
Yes - Go to School
Usually not a problem. If severe/interfering with attendance, consult a healthcare provider.

Rash or Skin Sores

If spreading, oozing, or not healing, see a provider. Skin sores must be scabbed over prior to returning.

Important Reminders
- Please inform teachers of any changes in home or work telephone numbers.
- Staff cannot provide daycare/sick care. You are required to pick up your sick student in a timely manner.
- Please complete the Online Absence Form each day your child is out.
Medication Policy
We DO NOT administer medication (including Tylenol, cough drops, allergy tablets) to students under any circumstances WITHOUT PROPER DOCUMENTATION.
A parent note is not sufficient; documentation must be from a doctor.
